Summer in Saskatoon invites you to outdoor fun — sunny days, lively nights, and time to enjoy festivals, fantastic food, and sports with friends.

Check out these fantastic events and festivals in Saskatoon after you’ve settled into your Saskatoon airport hotel!

1. Saskatoon Berries Baseball Club

The Saskatoon Berries Baseball Club starts playing in the summer, bringing excitement to fans and players alike. As the weather warms up, the team gets ready for the season with practice sessions to improve their skills. When the games begin, people from the community come together to watch and cheer for their local team. The games are held at the baseball field, where families and friends enjoy the sport, food, and fun summer activities. This time of year is special because it brings everyone together to support the Saskatoon Berries and enjoy the summer weather.

2. Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival

The 2024 SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival will have ticketed events over four days in Victoria Park on July 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th. You can buy a day pass that lets you attend all four shows on that day.

Additionally, there are four special jazz shows at The Bassment, presented by Saskatchewan Labour Unions, which require separate tickets.

Passes for all ticketed events are now available through their Box Office.

The festival also offers free events from July 4-13 at different locations in Saskatoon, including Victoria Park, The Maurice Drouin Lounge, the Alt Hotel, and various neighborhood pop-ups. These events are supported by local business districts and community partnerships.

3. Downtown Sidewalk Sale

The 2024 Downtown Sidewalk Sale is a popular 3-day event in Saskatoon’s summer season, known for being one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. This event brings thousands of people to the lively downtown area for three days of fun and shopping. The 47th annual sale showcases the best of Downtown Saskatoon, making it a unique urban experience. You can explore 2nd Avenue and 21st Street, enjoying shopping, food, and entertainment from local businesses, food trucks, artists, and activities for kids.

4. YXE Beer Wars

The annual YXE BEER WARS (Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival) is happening on July 26th and 27th, 2024. Join the event to support craft beer, wine, and spirits producers from Saskatchewan and beyond! You'll have the chance to taste their products and learn more about their companies.

The festival will feature craft beer, wine, and spirits vendors, as well as entertainment! There will also be a selection of traditionally brewed beer to suit everyone's tastes.

This event is for people aged 19 and older. Admission is $10 at the door.

5. Food Truck Wars

Food Truck Wars Street Festival will be held on July 26th and 27th, 2024.

This festival is fun for families and pets, with food trucks, trailers, and booths offering a wide variety of meals, desserts, and drinks. You’ll also find cultural entertainment, street market vendors, sponsor booths, a pet water station, food competitions, street performers, karaoke, and seating areas.

The event will be located on Porter Street. The Lions Clubs of Saskatoon and Martensville will be selling 50/50 tickets at the festival. Please support them to help their charitable work.

6. Saskatoon Fringe Festival

Come celebrate the wonderful and weird world of arts at this 10-day Saskatoon Fringe Festival in Saskatoon’s Broadway District!

Join the festival from August 1st to 10th for the best fringing days of your summer. Enjoy theatre shows from around the world, outdoor performers, local artisans, food trucks, games, and more.

The festival will be held at W. E. Graham Park and on 11th Street E, expanding onto Broadway Avenue for Broadway Days on the long weekend (August 3rd to 5th).

7. Rock the River

Rock the River is Saskatchewan's Classic Rock Festival, held outdoors for 3 days at Saskatoon's Bessborough Gardens at the Delta Hotels by Marriott. This year, Canadian Classic Rock bands will perform all the hits we've loved for decades.
